Glenis Leitch

Gary and Glenis have been involved for several years producing creative artwork that enabled
us to combine our skills. Fiber and Textile Arts held our interest until we moved to the
Southwest where we discovered the organic beauty of gourds and gourd art.
Being self-taught artists, we experimented at first with carving, painting and decorating simple
bowls and figures, but soon moved on to the more interesting and challenging Gourd Totems.
We work together in our home workshop and studio, collaborating on the design, and making them.
construction of each Gourd Totem. Since we do not strive for absolute authentication of historic
design, we prefer to put our own artistic interpretation in each and every gourd.
